Cebu Travel Advisory: Typhoon Lagasa (NANDO) to Affect Weather This Weekend Through Mid-Next Week
A tropical depression has formed at the edge of the Philippine Sea, not too far from the main islands. The Philippines has named this system NANDO.

This tropical depression, NANDO, has since grown into Typhoon Lagasa, the 18th typhoon of the season.
Typhoon Lagasa is expected to move slowly to the northwest and will be closest to the northern Philippines’ Luzon Island on the 23rd. While Cebu is not in the direct path of Typhoon Lagasa, the storm is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon, bringing unfavorable weather around the 21st.
Due to rising water levels, canyoneering tour courses have been temporarily closed since September 16th. We ask that anyone traveling in Cebu from this weekend through the middle of next week please exercise extra caution.
